Great news
Last week's coffee morning and bake sale raised around £250.
We are also hugely grateful to Kelso Art Group who nominated us as their chosen charity at their recent exhibition. From donations and 20% of sales, we received £376.
With some quiz sales and donations, the total added to fund is around £650.
Well done everyone, especially those inand around Kelso.

FUNDING
BYT has been delivering great work for 28 years - amazing.
In that time, we have had to raise over ONE MILLION POUNDS!!!!
Some of that, 30 - 40%, has come from fees but the rest has to be found from trusts, funding bodies and local fund-raising - coffee mornings, bake sales etc. Funding is becoming harder and harder to find. Volunteer Trustees try very hard but they can't do it alone - we need everyone, including YOU, to lend a hand by helping raise funds. It doesn't have to be cash - you could help with printing or storage or transport - or, better still, become a Trustee.
To find out more, just call 0777 3977 567 or mail [email protected]
There is also some important information about help you might be able to get with fees. Just click the link.
Just a word about the Summer 2017 Project.
What an amazing show.
Well done to all the cast, to John, Oli, Dawn, Sara, Eula, Simon, Ian, Meghan, Jenna and everyone else involved.
For clips of rehearsals, go to the BYT Facebook page.

if anyone wants to raise money or make donations to BYT please, please, do. Eula can bank any money you raise or you can pay it in at any RBS using the account details available on your current enrolment form - just make sure you let us know, so we know where the money is from on our bank statement. Or send in a bank transfer using the same bank details, just add your name and mark as a donation, again so we know where it's come from. Thank you. Happy fundraising. XXX
Remember, you can also raise money for BYT every time you buy things on-line - just click here -
You can buy whatever you want as usual but BYT gets money everytime you shop.
You donate without paying a penny!
Change of Bank Details
Borders Youth Theatre (BYT) recently changed from being an unregistered charity to a newer format of Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). The SCIO offers better legal and liability protection for our members, volunteers and trustees. BYT is the same, still running drama workshops and productions for young people.
However, we have had to open a new bank account and the old account will be closed in October. If you pay fees by bank order please can you write to your bank giving them the new bank details for BYT as follows….
a/c name The Members of Border Youth Theatre
a/c number 00173586
sort code 83-23-18 RBS Kelso Branch
FUND-RAISING FOR BYT
BYT works hard to try to find funding from all sorts of sources. The local fund-raising which you do can help a great deal. Thank you to all of you who make the effort to give something back.

Changes at BYT
At the recent AGM, it was agreed to change the way BYT is managed.
It will still be run by volunteers but their responsibilities will be slightly different as part of a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).
We still need your support - either by helping to fund-raiser, coming to see productions or offering some time to act as a Trustee.
If you want more information, please contact Eula Wilkin at [email protected]
