Change of Bank Details
Borders Youth Theatre (BYT) recently changed from being an unregistered charity to a newer format of Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).  The SCIO offers better legal and liability protection for our members, volunteers and trustees.  BYT is the same, still running drama workshops and productions for young people.
However, we have had to open a new bank account and the old account will be closed in October.  If you pay fees by bank order please can you write to your bank giving them the new bank details for BYT as follows….
a/c  name    The Members of Border Youth Theatre
a/c number  00173586
sort code 83-23-18     RBS Kelso Branch

We are sorting out plans for more projects for the coming year and will get details here as soon as we can.

4 fantastic performances and a huge contribution to the

Fairy Tale Festival

Well done everyone and thanks to John, Oli, Sara, Eula, Fin, Jordanna, Calum, Jenna for a great two weeks.

Participants and parents/carers should receive an email containing a link to the feedback survey -

please take a couple of minutes to complete it.

You can view some pictures from rehearsals and performances here.

Well done to everyone who helped create three great performances of Keeper of the Tales.
You can buy some of Kat Gollock's lovely pictures of the project by clicking this link.

BYT works hard to try to find funding from all sorts of sources. The local fund-raising which you do can help a great deal. Thank you to all of you who make the effort to give something back.

Changes at BYT

At the recent AGM, it was agreed to change the way BYT is managed.

It will still be run by volunteers but their responsibilities will be slightly different as part of a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).

We still need your support - either by helping to fund-raiser, coming to see productions or offering some time to act as a Trustee.

If you want more information, please contact Eula Wilkin at
