What is Borders Youth Theatre?

BYT is run by Trustees - the BYT Management Committee, made up of volunteer parents, drama practitioners and others, elected at an Annual General Meeting. The current Board includes:

Chairperson: David J Bisset

Treasurer: Primrose Scott

Trustees: Jennie Bisset, Mark Douglas, Amanda Glasgow, Clare Prenton, Liz Smith, John Turner.

Youth Advisors: Elliot Douglas, Rose Hadshar

Volunteer Organising Committees, linked Trustees, have resonsibility for Productions, Workshops, Funding, Fund-Raising, Admin, etc

Scottish Borders Council Advisors: Rita Docherty, Kirsty Taylor

The workshop leaders are independent contractors with qualifications and/or experience in youth drama, paid by BYT to run the workshops. BYT contracts administrative services from Sarah Gulliver-Goodall of Business Services (Scotland).
