What can you do to help?

Volunteer/parent helper- click here for a downloadable form

1. Ensure that fees are paid promptly, by cheque, and posted to Borders Youth Theatre, C/o Arts Development, St Mary's Mill, Level Crossing Road, Selkirk, TD7 5EW. The Adminsitrator has to enter details on the database, and will send the form back to workshop leader. Please do not give forms or fees to workshop leaders, as this significantly increases time spent on administration, and risks payments getting lost.

2. Volunteer to be available to support the weekly workshops as an extra adult.  BYT  offers volunteer opportunities to  young drama assistants and parents. Some volunteers may be expected to submit a Disclosure Form, which can be arranged at no cost by Youth Borders (the youth group support organisation).

3. Offer to help with productions: front of house, backstage, or with specialist areas e.g. lighting, sound, set etc.

4. Help with fundraising. Contact a Board member or speak to your workshop leader, and offer to help, e.g. by organising fundraising activities, approaching local businesses for sponsorship or applying to local trust funds for grants.

5. Attend the Annual General Meeting, and consider joining the BYT Board. Further details will be circulated.
