What can you do to help?Volunteer/parent helper- click here for a downloadable form 1. Ensure that fees are paid promptly. Trustees will be at the first two workshops of each term to collect forms and money. Payment can also be made by cheque, payable to Borders Youth Theatre, and posted to BYT Administrator, c/o Judy Collins, 15 Howden Drive, Jedburgh, TD8 6JZ. Payment can also be made by bank transfer. (You can download a bank transfer form from the Workshops page.) Workshop leaders are busy and do not really have time to collect payments - However, in emergencies, they will accept payments. 2. Make sure we have up-to-date information. The Administrator and leaders need to have accurate contact and other information. They need to have a completed application each session and be kept up to date of any changes. You can dowload an application form from the Workshops page or send information to info@bordersyouththeatre.co.uk
3. Be a volunteer. Although we use professional staff, BYT is run by volunteers. You can help by being willing to be in attendance at weekly workshops or by helping out during longer projects - front of house, backstage, or with specialist areas e.g. lighting, sound, set etc. If you are willing to help, please indicate this on the application form or contact us at info@bordersyouththeatre.co.uk 4. Help with fundraising. Contact a Board member or speak to your workshop leader, and offer to help, e.g. by organising fundraising activities, approaching local businesses for sponsorship or applying to local trust funds for grants. 5. Attend the Annual General Meeting, and consider becoming a BYT Trustee. Further details will be circulated. |
